National Bank Of Greece Looking To Enter Ukraine

According to several unconfirmed media reports, Greece’s largest bank, the National Bank of Greece (NBG), is looking to purchase a Ukrainian bank. NBG is the second Greek bank to announce plans to enter Ukraine in the last week. Earlier Greece’s third largest lender, Alpha Bank announced plans to buy a Ukrainian bank with at least 100 branches. According to the Greek media, NBG is eyeing Ukraine’s Bank Forum (FORM: BUY) and Tas-Investbank.
