National Energy Company To Supply Electricity.

National Energy Company To Supply Electricity.

25 April 2008

The National Energy Company (NC ECU) which was created as a holding to manage the state’s stakes in electricity generation and distribution companies, will now start its own electricity business. Last week the NC ECU obtained a license to provide electricity. The amount of electricity the company can supply is limited to 36 GWh per month. Concorde Capital:  The NC ECU can use this license to supply electricity domestically and abroad. This new venture for the NC ECU is important as it will help the company start generating capital to cover expenses. At the moment the company’s main “business” is controlling the energy companies it consolidates, which is not profitable and makes the NC ECU dependent on external financing (budget, or electricity consumers, or related companies).
