NBU cuts discount rate from 12% to 11%

The National Bank of Ukraine decreased its discount rate from 12% to 11% as of June 15, it said in a statement on Friday. The NBU said it took the decision after its analysis of macroeconomic and monetary indicators for 5M09, forecasts for economic, social and the cash market revealed signs of stabilization on the cash market. The rate had been unchanged since April 2008.
