NBU’s reserves rise by 5.4% in 1Q

The National Bank of Ukraine reported yesterday that in the first quarter of 2011 it increased its international reserves by 5.4% to USD 36.4 bln, according to Interfax. In 1Q11, the NBU interventions were positive at USD 498.7 mln (i.e. the central bank bought more FX than it sold on the market).
