Nikopol Ferroalloy (NFER): Next In Line For Re-Privatization?

29 April 2008

An individual in Dnipropetrovsk has filed a lawsuit to the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv, requesting the cancellation of a 50%+1 stake in Nikopol Ferroalloy to the Prydniprovya Consortium, an affiliate of Interpipe. The State Property Fund (SPF) sold its 50% + 1 share stake in NFER to Prydniprovya for USD 77 mn in 2003. Concorde Capital: There is a fair chance Nikopol Ferroalloy will be taken away from Interpipe, as its privatization tender was a non-transparent process and the price paid was far too low. The most interested parties in the resale of the stake are the Finance & Credit Group and Privat Bank.
