Nord Increases Sales 12% yoy in 1H07

The Nord Group (NORD: N/R), Ukraine’s only producer of refrigerators, announced that it boosted sales 11.8% yoy in 1H07. Valentin Landik, head of Nord, said that the company despite growing sales, the company failed to make a profit due to a significant amount of low-price imports to Ukraine. In March Ukraine started antidumping investigations on the import of refrigerators from China and Turkey, based on a complaint filed by Nord.
