Oleh Dubina Appointed Naftogaz Ukraine’s CEO

25 December 2008

Interfax reported that Oleh Dubina has been appointed the CEO of Naftogaz Ukraine. Before the appointment Oleh Dubina was at the head of DMK Dzerzhinskogo Steel. He also has served as Kryvorizhstal’s (currently, Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih) CEO. In 2001 he became a vice-premier in Viktor Yuschenko’s government. In February 2004, Oleh Dubina headed the Energy Company of Ukraine which encompasses all state-owned assets in the energy sector. Oleh Dubina is known as a strong top-manager having helped Kryvorizhstal and DMK Dzerzhinskogo Steel out of crises. This appointment looks certainly positive for Naftogaz Ukraine as it is currently in a deep decline.
