Daily Kommersant reported today that Nikolay Lagun, the majority shareholder (a 45% stake) of Ukraine’s insurer Oranta (UX: SORN UK), is in negotiations to sell a 33% stake in the company to a local investor. According to the article, Lagun’s suggestions as to optimizing the company’s operations and management improvement were rejected by the supervisory board at the end of 2009, which became one of the reasons for selling the stake.
