Ostchem solves debt issue with Gazprombank

Ukrainian fertilizer holding Ostchem, which belongs to Dmytro Firtash, completed negotiations on its debt to Russian Gazprombank amounting to USD 843 mln, the Interfax-Ukrayina news agency reported, citing a Jan. 12 press release. All the issues have been solved and the shareholder structure of the holding’s enterprises hasn’t been changed as a result of the negotiations, according to the source. Recall, in mid-December, Gazprombank was threatening to confiscate natural gas belonging to Ostchem and deposited in Ukraine’s underground storage in case the debt issue is not resolved
