Pellet output drops 1% m-o-m, concentrate rises 1% m-o-m in November

The production of pellets in Ukraine in November dropped slightly, down 1% m-o-m since October, according to Metal Courier. Total production for 11M10 was 20.4 mln mt, a 10% increase y-o-y. Central Iron Ore (UX: CGOK UK) almost doubled its output m-o-m, while Northern Iron Ore (UX: SGOK UK) and Poltava Iron Ore (UX: PGOK UK) decreased output by 11% and 2% m-o-m, respectively. Meanwhile, iron concentrate production in November grew by a moderate 1% m-o-m to 5.4 mln mt. Both Northern Iron Ore and Central Iron Ore decreased output, by 4% and 7% m-o-m, respectively. Overall, in 11M10, Ukrainian producers of concentrate increased output by 20% y-o-y to 59 mln mt.
