Poll shows Zelensky’s rating continuing to decline

Poll shows Zelensky’s rating continuing to decline

28 October 2021

A poll by the Razumkov Centre over Oct. 14-20 shows
current President Volodymyr Zelensky slipping in absolute terms, though he
would still win the presidency if a vote were held today. He fell from 20%
support among all voters in January 2021 to 17% now, pravda.com.ua reported on
Oct. 26.

Other significant drops include former president Petro
Poroshenko, from 12% down to 9%, and pro-Russian OPZh party leader Yuri Boyko,
dropping from 13% to 7%.

The only figure to gain substantially is recently
ousted Verkhovna Rada speaker Dmytro Razumkov, who found favor with 6% of
voters, as opposed to 2% at the beginning of the year.

James Hydzik: With a
second poll confirming Razumkov’s rise in popularity, the question now becomes
one of who his political backer will be – he cannot fight a nationwide
political campaign under his own resources. The other issue would be whether or
not he can build on this popularity once the sympathy generated by the coarse
way in which he was removed wanes.
