Poltava Locomotive Repair (PLR) Increases 9-Month Production By 1.6% yoy To USD 23.7 mln.

However, production decreased qoq by 11.9% in 3Q05. According to the management the qoq decline was due to the decreasing number of orders from Russia and Ukraine’s Ukrzalliznytsya. Company sales reached USD 23 mln in 2004. This year the company managed to reach last year’s sales level by September. PLR specializes in the repair of locomotives for Ukraine, Russia, the Baltic states and Mongolia. Nearly 45% of the company’s output is exported. More than 91% of Poltava Locomotive Repair belongs to the Vneshtorg company (Kharkiv).
