Poroshenko Bloc adds three MPs to form coalition

Poroshenko Bloc adds three MPs to form coalition

12 April 2016

The Petro Poroshenko Bloc added on April 11 three MPs to its parliamentary faction, reported MP Serhiy Leshchenko. They join three other MPs who joined the Poroshenko Bloc in the last two weeks, swelling its ranks to 144 MPs as of April 12. Parliament’s two biggest factions now have 225 MPs between them (81 MPs from the People’s Front), just one short to form the new coalition.

Zenon Zawada: It’s now almost certain the new coalition will consist of the Poroshenko Bloc and the People’s Front. Recruiting one more MP won’t be the least bit difficult, if he or she hasn’t been recruited already. This coalition will meet the approval of the Western establishment, which is interested in stability above all else and wants to avoid early elections.
