Privatbank buys Ukrprombank for USD 500 mln

Daily Ekonomicheskie Izvestia reported yesterday that Ukraine’s #1 bank by assets Privatbank has acquired Ukrprombank for USD 500 mln. The daily reported that the deal was necessitated by the financial crisis and facilitated by the National Bank of Ukraine. A preliminary agreement on the sale was signed in December.
