Prodan leaves KIEN

17 October 2008

Kievenergo’s (KIEN: BUY) CEO, Boris Yashchenko announced that company’s deputy General Director, Yuriy Prodan, had resigned. The announcement comes one week after KIEN’s Oct. 10 EGM where Yashchenko was appointed CEO. Alexander Paraschiy: Prodan was brought in as a crisis manager to counteract Kiev City Administration’s attempts to discontinue KIEN’s lease on the city’s heating facilities. However, he was uncomfortable under Yashchenko’s leadership and criticized several procedural issues that took place at KIEN’s EGM.
