Public Debt Flat In April

In April total public debt remained flat and amounted to USD 15.2 bln. Direct external debt decreased by 0.17% mom to USD 9.36 bln and direct internal debt remained unchanged – USD 3.2 bln. Polina Khomenko: During the first four months of the year there were no sovereign Eurobond issues or and foreign borrowings. The government plans to borrow roughly USD 2 bln from domestic and public sources by the end of the year. We estimate Ukraine’s total debt will amount to USD 17.5 bln (~ 14% to GDP) by the end of the year.
