Public debt rises 5.8% to USD 51 bln in September

Total public debt (both direct and guaranteed) was up 5.8% during September and reached USD 51.1 bln or 38% of GDP 2010F, the Finance Ministry reported yesterday on its website. Mykyta Mykhaylychenko: The increase was mainly derived from Ukraine’s USD 2 bln Eurobond issuance. By yearend, we expect public debt to stay within 40% of GDP.
