The Rada decided yesterday to put off the hearing of laws necessary for Ukraine’s entrance into the WTO until its next plenary session on the first week of November. According to the Head of the Rada’s Finance & Banking Committee the reason for the delay was the lack of draft law proposals from the Cabinet. Nick Piazza: The delay means that Ukraine has no chance of joining in 2006. In a strange twist Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich scolded the Rada for failing to pass WTO legislation at a Cabinet meeting earlier in the day.
