Regal Petroleum gets injunction to restart production

Regal Petroleum gets injunction to restart production

11 July 2011

Regal Petroleum (LSE: RPT LN) reported in a statement on Friday that it received notification of an injunction order made by the Kyiv District Administrative Court suspending the order of the Ministry of Environmental Protection that forced it to suspend production in November 2010, according to London Stock Exchange announcement. The injunction order is pending a further hearing into the district administrative court action. Regal said it now intends to resume production at its MEX-GOL and SV fields. Antonina Davydenko: Resolution of Regal’s license dispute has been expected since takeover by Smart Holding in March, due to Smart’s lobbying power with the current Ukrainian authorities. We expect the issue to be definitively resolved shortly in Regal’s favor.
