Retail Turnover Accelerates 27.1% yoy in January

The State Statistics Committee reported that in January retail turnover speeded up 27.1% yoy to USD 5.4 bln (vs. 24.0% yoy in January 2007). Retail turnover grew 28.8% yoy in 2007. We reiterate our forecast of 30% yoy growth in 2008.
