RosUkrEnergo Acquires Russian Assets?

According to media reports, RosUkrEnergo (RUE) acquired a 75% stake in the Astrakhan Oil & Gas Company (ANGK, Russia) from the Huta Group. The Astrakhan municipal authorities confirmed the deal took place, while Gazprom (50% owner of RUE) said it knows nothing about the acquisition. ANGK has a license for the exploration and development of the right-coast site of Astrakhan oil and condensate deposit, with estimated gas reserves of 220 bln cm and about 145 mln bbls of oil reserves.
