Rosynka To Be Bought By Advent International

Advent International, a US-based equity firm, won a tender to purchase Rosynka, a Kyiv-based non-alcoholic beverages plant. There were 25 potential buyers including investors in Ukraine, Russia and Europe, of which 10 submitted final price offers. Alexander Romanov: Rosynka is one of Ukraine’s biggest producers of non-alcoholic beverages and has control over two production sites, one in Kyiv with a total capacity of 10 mln dal per year and an Evpatoriya-based plant with a capacity of 2 mln dal, in which it owns a 72% stake. The company’s share of the Ukrainian market of bottled beverages is estimated at 12%. In 2005, Rosynka increased net sales by 36.6% to USD 33.7 mln, net income by 48% to USD 3.1 mln. The company has not yet reported 2006 results.
