Russia's Azbuka Vkusa Joins Line To Enter The Ukrainian Retail Market

General Director Vladimir Sadovin of Gorodskoy Supermarket (operator of the network Azbuka Vkusa) said the company’s shareholders were interested in the Ukrainian market, particularly in Kyiv, and that the company had already begun market research. Alexander Romanov: Ukrainian retail continues to be one of the market’s hottest sectors. In 2006 CAGR reached 23% and has drawn the interest of several large international retail chains. Last month Russia’s X5 retail group announced plans to open five supermarkets in Ukraine in 2007.
