SAB Miller to grant Sarmat USD 27.1 mln loan

Sarmat, Ukraine’s #4 largest brewer by production, announced yesterday that it signed an agreement on April 15 with majority shareholder SAB Miller to receive an interest-free UAH 27.1 mln ten-year loan. Sarmat posted a net loss of UAH 490.5 mln in 2008 vs. net income of UAH 311.8 in 2007. SAB Miller purchased a 99.84% stake in Sarmat in May 2008.
