SCM invested USD 1.9 bln into subsidiaries in 2011

System Capital Management Group, the group which controls 71% in steel holding Metinvest (METINV) and 100% in energy holding DTEK (DTEKUA), reported yesterday that it invested USD 1.9 bln into controlled assets (excluding M&A) in 2011 (vs. USD 1.1 bln in 2010). SCM said it directed USD 1.14 bln of those investments to Metinvest and USD 0.56 bln to DTEK. SCM also said its total investments on environmental protection, health and safety and development of local communities exceeded USD 0.63 bln. The group is 100% owned by Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov.
