Single-day record in COVID-19 recoveries reached on July 7

8 July 2020

Cases of the COVID-19 disease caused by the
coronavirus jumped to 807 on July 7, according to the latest statistics released
by the National Security and Defense Council. An estimated 23 people died and
926 recovered, which is a new daily record. At the same time, 200 patients were
hospitalized.

 

The largest number of new disease cases were recorded
in the Lviv region (117) and the city of Kyiv (114).

 

Zenon Zawada: The next
two days will reveal whether this increase is the beginning of a third spike in
the first wave of COVID-19. Health Minister Stepanov remarked that the record
of single-day recoveries was “very pleasant news,” which we view as
contributing to a stable situation overall.
