State Budget Income Exceeds Plan by 4.7% in 6M07

According to preliminary data from the Department of Treasury, income into the general fund of the state budget in 6M07 amounted to USD 11.1 bln, or 4.7% more than planned. During the period, taxes accounted for USD 5.7 bln (102% of plan) and customs fees USD 4.6 bln (107.1% of plan). Polina Khomenko: Income to the state budget’s general fund was planned to reach USD 24.8 bln by the end of the year, while the deficit was expected to total USD 3.1 bln. We are more optimistic and maintain our projection of a USD 2.4 bln deficit by the end of 2007.
