Stirol improves gas efficiency of third ammonia facility

Stirol (STIR: N/R) announced yesterday it completed reconstruction of its third ammonia production facility, which it started in 2006. Reconstruction resulted in a 13.9% decrease in gas usage per mt of ammonia, to 1038 cm. The company said its other two ammonia facilities consume 1016-1020 cm of gas per mt of ammonia, following their reconstruction in 2006-07. According to the company, currently all its ammonia facilities consume 15% less gas than on average than other Ukrainian nitrogen fertilizer plants.
