TAS Group plans to acquire 200 ths ha of land, group co-owner Serhiy Tigipko told Ekonomicheskie Izvestia in an interview yesterday. According to him, TAS has already bought controlling stakes in agricultural enterprises with a leased land area of 16 ths ha and is now in talks to acquire others. Tigipko said that the group’s agricultural wing will initially focus on crops, but it is also eyeing enterprises specializing in poultry. According to Tigipko, TAS’ agricultural companies could, at some point in the future, be structured as a group for the purpose of attracting a strategic investor.
