Telenor Looses Case Against Alfa Group

Ukraine’s Supreme Court did not satisfy Telenor’s appeal to a decision by the High Economic Court to change items in the Kyivstar company charter. The old charter provides preferences to majority shareholders (read Telenor) in electing top managers and the supervisory board. Concorde Capital: This decision is unlikely to have a major impact on the current situation with Kyivstar, but it does mean Telenor has lost another local telecom battle with Russia’s Alfa Group.
