Last night the Party of Regions released a document with its proposal to form a coalition in the new Rada. Regions plans to give this document to all 450 deputies and allow them each individually to vote for the parties they would like to see form a coalition in the new Rada. Additionally the document suggests that the party that got the most votes in the Rada elections (The Party of Regions) would get to elect the Prime Minister. Leaders from the Party of Regions said that it was time for compromises and that the party was extending its hand to listen to the will of the Rada. In related news according to the Yulia Tymoshenko Block the ‘orange’ parties have restarted their coalition talks. Concorde Capital: Regions is clearly trying to play on the division within Our Ukraine about allowing Tymoshenko the Premier post in the new government and hopes that by allowing each deputy to vote individually they can work their way into a coalition agreement. If Regions is sincere about its willingness to negotiate about the Premier seat it will definitely be tempting for Our Ukraine to sign on.
