Total public debt up 5.2% in December

5 February 2010

The Ministry of Finance reported that total public debt rose 5.2% in December to USD 37.7 bln or ~33% of GDP, up from ~20% of GDP as of end-2008. We expect Ukrainian public debt to stay within a manageable 40% of GDP in 2010.
