Turboatom privatization could fetch government USD 100 mln

Turboatom privatization could fetch government USD 100 mln

11 December 2008

Daily Kommersant reported that the privatization of a 75.22% stake in Turboatom (TATM) could raise USD 100 mln, which represents a fivefold discount to the company’s market value this summer. Kommersant reported that major international power engineering corporations Siemens and General Electric could participate in the privatization tender. Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada’s Privatization Commission Valeriy Pisarenko said that preparations for selling Turboatom could take 2-3 months, or longer if President Viktor Yushchenko intervenes in the process.
