Turboatom to modernize turbine for Donbasenergo

Turboatom (TATM UK) will supply components and carry out a modernization of turbine at 6th unit of Starobeshev TPP of Donbasenergo (DOEN UK) in 2012, the company announced yesterday. The modernization will increase turbine’s capacity by 4% to 208 MW and improve fuel efficiency of the unit by 2%. Value of the deal is not disclosed. Roman Dmytrenko: Earlier this year Turboatom signed a UAH 60 mln contract for comparable scope of work at Starobesheve TPP’s 13th unit. We estimate total revenues for two contracts for Tuboatom at UAH 120 mln, or about 11% of turbine maker’s sales for 2012.
