Turkmenistan to Raise Natural Gas Price to USD 130/mcm

According to Gazprom representatives, during a meeting on November, 23, Turkmenistan offered them a price increase to USD 130/mcm (from current USD 100/mcm) starting in 2008. Meanwhile, in their official press-release they say that the price is fixed at USD 100/mcm till 2009 inclusive. Earlier we reported that Ukrainian government said that they agreed with Turkmenistan on stable price till 2009. Vladimir Nesterenko: If Gazprom and Turkmenistan indeed renegotiate the price up to USD 130/mcm that would imply USD 160-180/mcm price for Ukraine at the border.
