U.S. accuses Russia of preparing false flag massacre near Ukraine

4 February 2022

U.S. Department of Defense press secretary John Kirby
told reporters on Feb. 3 that Russia is planning false-flag operations to blame
on the Ukrainian government. One operation in particular centers on Russia
producing “a very graphic propaganda video”, utilizing corpses and fake
mourners along with captured weapons to try and prove that the deaths were
caused by Ukrainians or NATO members. The Pentagon has pointed to this before,
and “we’ve seen these kinds of activities by the Russians in the past,” he said,
according to the briefing readout on defense.gov.

James Hydzik: The
tendency of the U.S. government to call out these plans beforehand is
important. The likelihood of such a plan being put into action in the near
future is more likely than a military incursion, though it could serve as the
justification for such an incursion afterward. However, for the immediate
future, we see the Russian army as staying in place.
