Ukraine Considers Construction Of New Nuclear Power Plant

According to Ivan Plachkov, Ukraine’s Fuel and Energy Minister, the Cabinet is studying the possibility of building a new nuclear power plant in Chygyryn, in the Cherkassy region. This announcement raised protests among Ukraine?s cultural elite, as Chygyryn is one of the country?s most prominent cultural centers. Concorde Capital: Building a new nuclear power plant in the center of Ukraine will hardly be beneficial to the popularity of the new government. Therefore, this idea looks unrealistic.
