Ukraine Doing Business ranking improves five levels to 71st

2 November 2018

Ukraine has improved its position by five levels to
the 71st ranking in this year’s Doing Business Index published on Oct. 31 by
the World Bank. Progress was made in six out of the index’s 10 indicators,
including dealing with construction permits (30th rank), registering property
(63rd), protecting minority investors (72nd), trading across borders (78th),
enforcing contracts (57th), and resolving insolvency (145th).

Zenon Zawada: This is
positive momentum for Ukraine’s prospects in attracting foreign investment once
the 2019 election campaign concludes.
