Ukraine-EU parliamentary commission fails to meet

21 March 2013

Ukraine’s Committee for Ukraine-EU Parliamentary Cooperation could not approve legislation for the Association Agreement on March 20 because of a lack of quorum, MP Viktor Baloha reported on his Facebook site. It was the MPs from the ruling Party of Regions that failed to show up, which is not the first time that has happened, he said. The ongoing conflict between the ruling and opposition MPs has prevented attempts to ratify agreements on simplifying the visa regime, news reports said.
