Ukraine harvests 1.46 mln mt of early grain crops, as of June 30

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported that Ukraine harvested 1.46 mln mt of grain, as of June 30, from 0.6 mln ha out of total 27 mln ha of land under crops. Average crop yield was 2.46 mt per hectare, versus 3.08 mt per hectare a year ago. The Ministry said that it expects a 42-43 mln mt grain harvest this year, down from 53.3 mln mt in 2008.
