Ukraine Inks WTO Agreement With Columbia.

16 June 2008

Ukraine signed a bilateral agreement on mutual access to goods and services with Columbia, bringing Ukraine one step closer to joining the WTO. Ukraine still needs to reach agreements with Kyrgyzstan and Taiwan. The Economic Ministry has said that it expects to have all bilateral agreements signed this summer. Concorde Capital: In addition to Colombia, several Ukrainian media outlets have suggested that Ukraine has all but reached an agreement with Taiwan. Ukraine appears to be on the verge of wrapping up all of its bilateral negotiations; however, the last major obstacle is going to be putting Ukraine’s legislation in line with WTO standards, which will depend on the will of the new Rada coalition.
