Ukraine plants 30% of spring harvest as of April 2

The Ministry of Agricultural Policy announced yesterday in a statement that Ukrainian agrarians have sowed 1.368 mln ha as of April 2, or 30% of the planned area with spring crops. According to the Ministry, Ukraine expects to plant 16 mln ha for harvest this spring, including 7.7 mln ha of grain, wheat and barley; 3.5 mln ha of sunflower; 2 mln ha of feed crops; 1.4 mln ha of potatoes; and 0.4 mln ha of sugar beets.
