The second reading
of Ukraine’s pension reform package, a key IMF requirement, should be approved
this week, Prime Minister Voldoymyr Groysman said in opening the Sept. 20
session. He said today’s session is the last full session this week, during
which thousands of amendments can be submitted for review and approved. He
called upon MPs not to postpone the approval any further, accusing some of
intentionally delaying the work needed for the reform’s approval. Of the 4,500
amendments proposed, less than half have been submitted for review. They
consist of changes to Ukraine’s various legal codes.
