Ukraine’s meat & eggs quality control meets European standards - EC

9 August 2010

Ukraine’s quality control system for meat, eggs and related products are fully compliant with European standards, the European Commission said in a final assessment report, according to Interfax last Friday. Ruslan Patlavskyy: The news brings publicly-traded Myronivsky Hliboproduct (LSE: MHPC LI) and Avangard (LSE: AVGR LI) just a few procedural steps away from getting a green light to start exports to the European Union. Although, we believe the companies will be able to enter the European market as soon as next year, this predominantly serves as a long-term driver for MHP’s and Avangard’s sales due to high competition among the food producers in the EU.
