Ukraine’s pipe production increases 6.2% y-o-y in 11M10

Ukraine’s pipe producers increased their output to 1,569,000 mt, up 6.2% compared to 11M09, Interfax reported last week. Andriy Gerus: Demand from Transneft boosted output, with companies like Khartsyzsk Pipe (UX: HRTR UK) benefiting from orders from Russia. As for the domestic market, demand for pipes picked up in October–November, but we expect it to drop in December-January due to a seasonal decline.
