30 May 2011

Ukraine’s Securities and Exchange Commission ruled on Friday to suspending trading for 12 months in the shares of companies majority owned by the Donetskstal business group. The SSEC said the suspension was in accordance with a court ruling following a claim by an undisclosed member of parliament. The suspension affects Yasynivsky Coke (UX: YASK UK) and Shakhtoupravlenie Pokrovskoye (UX: SHCHZ UK), which fell 35.12% and 45.22% respectively in trading on Friday. The key beneficiaries of the Donetskstal group are businessmen Viktor Nusenkis and Leonid Basiarov.
