Ukraine's sugar production declines 18.5% yoy in 2008

According to Ukrsugar, the national association of Ukrainian sugar producers, sugar production from beets amounted to 1,568 mln mt of sugar in 2008, a decline of 18.5% yoy. Ukrsugar said that one sugar refinery remains in operation this season and that 69 have finished their processing campaign.
