Ukraine’s total public debt declines 0.8% in May

Ukraine’s total government debt declined 0.8% over May to USD 40.9 bln, the Finance Ministry reported yesterday on its website. Current public debt level equals ~33% of GDP. By end-2010 we foresee the debt to stay within a manageable size – 43% of GDP (accounting for the coming VAT bond issuance of UAH 17.7 bln).
