Ukrainian Banks Continue Stellar Growth in 1H07

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, Ukrainian banks increased their net assets 29.5% YTD to USD 87.2 bln. Loan portfolios grew 31.2% to USD 16.7 bln, driven mostly by 36.7% growth in retail loan growth, while corporate loans increased 25.5%. The total net income of the banking system grew 1.7 times to USD 0.6 bln.
