UkrAvto reports loss of UAH 117 mln in 2008

UkrAvto (AVTO) reported a loss of UAH 116.8 mln in 2008; the company posted a profit of UAH 1.1 bln in 2007, according to Kommersant. UkrAvto attributed the losses to the drop in automobile sales in Ukraine and negative effects from Ukraine’s accession to the WTO last year. The company said it will focus on increasing exports in 2009.
